The New Jersey Devils have had a roller coaster of a run since Travis Zajac made his NHL debut. They were one of the elite teams in the Eastern Conference for many years early in Zajac’s career. For the second half of his tenure, the team has been bottom dwellers. His numbers offensively have dipped over the years, but his two-way game has always been strong.
Zajac and the Devils came close to winning the Stanley Cup in 2012. They were two games away before the Los Angeles Kings took it from them. Things pretty much started to fall off from that point on.
