The New Jersey Devils had a bad year. They were expected to be good, but instead, they failed to meet any of their high expectations. They made multiple acquisitions over the past few seasons. The two most important are Nico Hischier and Jack Hughes in the NHL Draft. They won the lottery in 2017 and 2019 which led to them drafting these two young men. They are both equally as important to the future of the organization.
With another tough season in the making for New Jersey, they seem destined to make another high pick in the 2020 NHL Draft.
