The New Jersey Devils have decided to sell. Everyone saw that coming. What was a question mark, was whether or not they would be able to move their struggling backup goaltender on an expiring contract. That answer now, is yes.
They moved Keith Kinkaid to the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for a 5th-round pick. That might not be the return anyone thought they would get, but with a record of 15-18-6, a 3.36 goals against average, and a .891 save percentage, he probably didn’t garner much interest.
That is not to say that Keith Kinkaid is a bad goalie because he is not.
