The Coronavirus has caused a mass panic across the globe, and while the panic is usually overreaction to the next scare tactic, this isn’t the same thing. This isn’t even Ebola or HIV or SARS. The sheer volume in which the virus is spreading, the NHL should just shut down arenas for the good of the country. That includes the final seven home games for the New Jersey Devils.
Even on a bad night, the New Jersey Devils put 14,000 people in a confined space called the Prudential Center. The NHL already limited access to the media from the locker rooms, but that’s clearly just protecting the players.
