NEWARK, NJ – The Philadelphia Flyers were prepared on Wednesday night when they hosted former teammate Wayne Simmonds and the winless New Jersey Devils.
Philadelphia defeated the Devils 4-0, which marked the first time the Flyers shutout their longtime rival since April 1, 2017.
Perhaps the Broad St. Bullies proved that they were more than prepared both on and off the ice to “bully” and chirp the Devils hard in the process.
The Flyers twitter account started the banter by tweeting a photo of their mascot, Gritty, holding up a sign aimed to poke some fun at Devils’ defenseman P.
