The New Jersey Devils organization had a good night Friday night. At the NHL level, they defeated the St. Louis Blues who are the defending Stanley Cup Champions. The Devils had also lost 12-straight matchups against the Blues, so this ended that horrid streak. The Blues also had an eight-game winning streak, in general, snapped in this one. It was a very good night for the Devils.
One big reason it was a great night was the play of Cory Schneider. He was named the first star of the game, making 31 saves on 33 shots.
