The New Jersey Devils had one of their more memorable wins against the Washington Capitals on Saturday afternoon. The biggest story of the game was the fact that Alex Ovechkin was sitting on 699 career goals. The question of whether or not he would become the eight-player in the history of the sport to score 700 goals had everyone’s eyes on this game.
The Devils got out to a 2-0 lead courtesy of some great play by Jesper Bratt and Nikita Gusev. They were both all over the ice which made a significant impact on the game as a whole.
