New Jersey Devils GM Ray Shero made another minor addition to the organization on Monday by signing Vojtech Mozik. Mozik is a Czech defenseman who has agreed to a two-year two-way entry-level contract with the New Jersey Devils. He has good size at 6’2″ and has decent offensive skill as he led all defensemen in the Czech Extraliga with 10 goals and had 19 assists last season. While some fans may view this as a move to allow an easier trade of a defenseman like Jonathon Merrill or Eric Gelinas, I believe this is strictly a depth signing.
