NEWARK - Michael McLeod, the Devils' first-round pick in the 2016 NHL Draft, left Saturday's development camp scrimmage in the second period for precautionary reasons.
Albany Devils coach Rick Kowalsky said the 18-year-old center took a hit and left after.
Nate Bastian scored two goals to fuel a second-period rally for the White Team in a 4-3 win over Red at the Devils development camp scrimmage.
"He'll be fine. I think he just took that hit and it was more just precautionary to get him out," he said.
Prior to exiting, McLeod again showed off his potential, netting the game's first goal in the first period.
