RALEIGH, N.C. - Right wing Michael Cammalleri was still trying to find the back of the net for the first time entering Sunday's game against the Carolina Hurricanes.
The two are now well acquainted once again.
Cammalleri scored his first three goals of the season, and his hat trick powered the Devils to their first road victory of the season, a 4-1 victory over the Hurricanes at PNC Arena.
The 34-year-old Cammalleri forward capped off the hat trick in the third period when he sent a quick wrist shot on goal after a drop pass from right wing Beau Bennett, giving the team a 3-0 lead.
