The Binghamton Devils announced on Monday that goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood has been reassigned to the Adirondack Thunder of the ECHL. The move has come to no surprise with the recent struggles the 21 year-old, second pro has been experiencing this season, including letting in five goals in each of his last four games.
Blackwood has been playing behind Ken Appleby as of late and has a 4-10-3-1 record with a 3.81 GAA and 0.868 SV% this season for the BDevils. Hopefully he'll find his game along with some confidence.
The hole will be filled as netminder Eddie Lack will join the club on Tuesday and is expected to get a start either on Wednesday in Belleville, or Friday against the BSens.
