Looking for offense, Devils likely to sit Jacob Josefson

NEWARK — It is hardly surprising that Devils coach John Hynes is looking for more offense from his team. In the last nine games, the Devils have averaged less than a goal a game.

That may be why Jacob Josefson expects to sit out Tuesday night's game against the Carolina Hurricanes at Prudential Center. Josefson has gone 11 games without a goal and has just one in 36 games this season.

This would be the first game Josefson misses this season and, with Tuomo Ruutu unavailable because of illness, Bobby Farnham or Stefan Matteau could also be back in the lineup.
