WINNIPEG, Manitoba -- The Devils' road trip from hell is mercifully over, and on top of one final loss, Nico Hischier left with an injury.
A 5-2 loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday at Bell MTS Place capped off a seven-game road swing where New Jersey went 1-6-0, with a pair of three-game losing streaks wrapped around the lone win.
Hischier exited in the second period after shaking his left wrist in obvious discomfort. After initially going to the bench, he went down the tunnel and didn't return. He was labeled as questionable to return with an upper body injury, but he did not play the rest of the game.
