The NHL confirmed a new salary cap of $79.5 million for the 2018-19 season, bumping it up from the $75 million in 2017-18.
With the contracts the Devils currently have on the books for the offseason, that leaves them with $24,398,333 of cap space, according to Cap Friendly.
Only eight NHL teams have more cap room entering next season, with the Lou Lamoriello and the New York Islanders leading the way with $$32,759,167 of projected space.
The Devils need to add nearly $4 million to their payroll to reach the cap floor of $58.
