A quiet offseason could set the Devils up for a much more active summer in 2019.
They currently have the most projected cap space in the NHL at just over $19.5 million, and that number will go up next summer when summer other contracts come off the books. Between pending free agents over the next two seasons, the Devils will need to utilize that space to lock up some internal players.
