How Devils lined up in 1st postseason practice

John Hynes will have several decisions to make for his first playoff lineup when the Devils open the playoffs with Game 1 against the Tampa Bay Lightning at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Amalie Arena in Tampa.

Tuesday's practice gave the first glimpse at what direction the coach could be leaning.

Forward Stefan Noesen was absent from Tuesday's practice. He played in Saturday's season finale when the Devils lost 5-3 to the Washington Capitals.

Without Noesen, here's how the Devils lined up:

FORWARDS
Taylor Hall - Nico Hischier - Kyle Palmieri
Miles Wood - Pavel Zacha - Patrick Maroon
Blake Coleman - Travis Zajac - Drew Stafford
Michael Grabner - Brian Boyle - Brian Gibbons
Extras: Marcus Johansson, Jesper Bratt, Jimmy Hayes

DEFENSEMEN
Andy Greene - Sami Vatanen
John Moore - Mirco Mueller
Will Butcher - Ben Lovejoy
Steven Santini - Damon Severson

Keith Kinkaid and Cory Schneider were the two goalies on the ice.
