WASHINGTON -- The Devils need to scoreboard watch for one more day before they know their postseason fate.
Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Washington Capitals locked the Devils into the second wild card in the Eastern Conference, and their opponent will be either the Tampa Bay Lightning or the Boston Bruins.
That will be determined by the result of Sunday's game between the Bruins and the Florida Panthers at TD Garden in Boston.
The final game of the NHL regular season will determine the winner of the Atlantic Division and the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
