A look back at some teams in the Metropolitan Division who were sellers at the trade deadline, and grading those moves.

After a lengthy lead up and weeks of speculation, NHL clubs made 32 deals on Trade Deadline Day. The number of transactions went up significantly from last season since there are tight races for playoff spots in both the Eastern and Western Conference and teams that were sellers were willing to retain or take back salary in deals to obtain draft picks and prospects.
Whether these trades will have an impact on the playoff fortunes of each club won’t be fully realized until the National Hockey League resumes action after pausing their season due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
