As the 2018-19 NHL season inches closer, it's time to take a look back at what the Devils added to the organization during the summer.
While it's still possible for the Devils to make a move before the start of the season, here's a recap and a grade for each offseason move the team made in the NHL Draft and free agency.
Things played out well for the Devils in the first round of the 2018 NHL Draft, where defenseman Ty Smith was still on the board at No. 17. The lefty defenseman could have gone in the first half of the round, but the Devils were able to get a strong prospect who immediately shot to the top of their prospect pool.
