Artur Gavrus scored a goal on a game-high seven shots for Belarus in their 5-1 win over Denmark at the IIHF World Championship in the Czech Republic on Tuesday.
Gavrus notched the equalizer 44 seconds into the second period for Belarusians, who erased a 1-0 first-period deficit with five straight goals.
The Devils’ sixth-round pick in 2012, Gavrus has three points (1g-2a) in as many games at the tournament after posting two assists against Slovenia on Saturday. He’s third on Belarus in scoring behind Andrei Kostitsyn and Alexei Kalyuzhny, each of whom had two assists in Tuesday’s victory.
