Arizona Coyotes goalie Scott Wedgewood got his first crack at his former team on Saturday, and he gave the Devils everything they could handle.
Wedgewood stopped all 27 shots he faced to anchor a 5-0 win for the Coyotes over the Devils at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
The win marked Wedgewood's second career shutout and his first with the Coyotes. The Devils traded Wedgewood to Arizona on Oct. 28 for a 2018 fifth-round pick.
While Wedgewood did his job, the Devils played a clunker against the team at the bottom of the NHL standings.
