WASHINGTON — Cory Schneider isn't sure if there is a lesson to be learned from last season. Did overuse in the first two months hurt both him and the Devils?
Former coach Pete DeBoer was looking to establish Schneider as his clear-cut No. 1 goalie and he was hesitant to use either of two backups, an unproven Keith Kinkaid and veteran Scott Clemmensen, in the early stages of the season. So Schneider started the first 20 games of 2014-15 and had mixed results.
"There were parts I had to work through," Schneider told NJ Advance Media.
