Will Butcher won't miss any time.
The defenseman will play when the Devils host the Colorado Avalanche at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Prudential Center in Newark, two days after an injury scare that forced him to leave a game. He was a full participant in Thursday's morning skate, taking his usual rotations.
Butcher left Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Dallas Stars at Prudential Center midway through the third period when he was checked into the boards by Stars defenseman Roman Polak on a power play.
Butcher got up after the hit and gingerly skated to the bench immediately before heading down the tunnel.
