Devils topple Capitals in 2-1 shootout win | Rapid reaction

WASHINGTON -- The Devils nearly let one slip away, but they managed to grab a road win over the Washington Capitals.

Michael Cammalleri and Jacob Josefson scored in the shootout, while goalie Keith Kinkaid made two saves, lifting the Devils to a 2-1 win over the Capitals on Thursday at the Verizon Center.

Kinkaid did everything within his power to keep the Capitals off the board, and for the most part, he succeeded. Between turning away several rushes and sprawling out to stop other close-range attempts, he pieced together a spectacular performance. He made 39 saves in regulation and finished the game with 43 after four stops in overtime.
