The Devils signed right wing Drew Stafford to a one-year, one-way contract worth $800K on Friday.
The 31-year-old Stafford is an 11-year NHL veteran who has played for the Buffalo Sabres, Winnipeg Jets and Boston Bruins. Stafford was the 13th overall pick of the 2004 Draft by the Sabres, and he played nine seasons in Buffalo before being traded to Winnipeg in 2014-15.
He signed a two-year, $8.7 million deal with Winnipeg before the 2015-16 season, and in the final year of his contract, he was traded to the Bruins.

With the Jets and Bruins last season, Stafford put up eight goals and 13 assists.
