Devils sign goaltender Ken Appleby

Newark, NJ – The Devils today signed goaltender Ken Appleby to a three-year, entry-level contract. The announcement was made by Devils’ Executive Vice President/General Manager Ray Shero.

Appleby, 20, attended Devils’ training camp as an amateur tryout, after previously attending the team’s development camp in July. The 6-5, 215-lb. netminder spent the past three seasons with Oshawa (OHL), where he helped lead the Generals to the 2015 Ontario Hockey League and Memorial Cup Championships. In 2014-15, he led the league with a 2.08 goals-against average, .924 save percentage, and six shutouts (tie), and was second with 38 wins.
