Devils sign defenseman Steven Santini



Newark, NJ - The New Jersey Devils today signed defenseman Steven Santini to a three-year entry-level contract. The announcement was made by Devils’ Executive Vice President/General Manager Ray Shero.

The contract will begin with the 2015-16 season and he will report to New Jersey tomorrow. He has been assigned no. 38.

Santini, 21, was New Jersey’s first choice (second round), 42nd overall, in the 2013 NHL Draft. He finished his junior season when Boston College (HE) was eliminated from the 2016 NCAA Frozen Four on Thursday. In 41 games, he scored one goal and 18 assists for 19 points, while totaling 50 penalty minutes and serving as the club’s alternate captain.
