Devils re-sign defenseman Seth Helgeson

Newark, NJ – The New Jersey Devils today re-signed defenseman Seth Helgeson to a two-year contract. The terms are as follows: two-way in 2015-16 ($575,000/$75,000), and one-way in 2016-17 ($600,000). The announcement was made by Devils’ General Manager Ray Shero.

Helgeson, 24, will enter his third full year with the Devils’ organization after splitting the 2014-15 season between Albany (AHL) and New Jersey. He appeared in 49 AHL games last season, recording 2g-10a-12pts and 58 penalty minutes. The 6-4, 215-lb. rearguard posted two assists and 18 PIM in 22 matches with New Jersey after making his NHL debut November 11 vs.
