Schneider, 29, just completed his fifth full NHL season, and his second with the Devils. Schneider devotes time to charities such as the Liberty Humane Society Shelter (Jersey City, NJ), various team-related initiatives, Hockey in Newark, Make-A-Wish New Jersey, and the Sunshine Foundation of Canada, which answers the dreams of chronically ill, seriously ill, physically challenged and abused children.
Schneider has dedicated his off time to the Liberty Humane Society, where he and his wife Jill meet with pet shelter volunteers to raise money and awareness for the program. LHS helps support the local municipalities of Jersey City, Bayonne and Hoboken.
