The Devils named Mark Dennehy as head coach for the Binghamton Devils in the AHL.
Dennehy takes over for Rick Kowalsky, who was promoted to an NHL assistant coach following eight seasons behind the bench with the Albany and Binghamton Devils.
Former Merrimack coach Mark Dennehy will be the new head coach of the Binghamton Devils (AHL). Hired by Wheeling (ECHL) two months ago, he'll never actually coach a game for the Nailers. Devils asked Pittsburgh for permission to speak with Dennehy. Job opened up only last week.

Dennehy was most recently the head coach for the Wheeling Nailers, the ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
