The Devils made two more cuts from their training camp roster on Sunday, sending defenseman Jocktan Chainey and goalie Akira Schmid back to their respective junior teams.
Chainey will report to the Halifax Mooseheads in the QMJHL, and Schmid will got the Lethbridge Hurricanes in the WHL.
Defenseman Ben Lovejoy missed practice on Sunday after his wife gave birth to a baby girl.
The current roster still sits at 48 players, so the team remained divided into two groups for Sunday's sessions. Coach John Hynes said earlier in camp that he ideally would like to have the team close to the NHL roster when the Devils travel to Europe on Friday.
