The Devils will play their first ever game against Vegas Golden Knights when two of the NHL's biggest surprises face off at 5 p.m. at Prudential Center in Newark.
While the Devils enter in the middle of the playoff race following their last-place finish in the Eastern Conference last season, the Golden Knights have a comfortable lead atop the Pacific Division and are second in the Western Conference. Their 87 points are already a record for an expansion team.
