The Devils will play their first game this season against the Carolina Hurricanes when they welcome the divisional foe for 7 p.m. game on Thursday at the Prudential Center in Newark.
The Devils have played one game against every team in the NHL this season other than the Hurricanes and the Vegas Golden Knights.
With four meetings left between the Devils and Hurricanes, each will be important toward the Metropolitan Division playoff picture. Entering Thursday, both teams hold wild card spots in the Eastern Conference, with the Devils one point ahead of the Hurricanes for the first spot.
