Devils finish big rally, top Maple Leafs 5-4 in shootout | Rapid reaction

NEWARK - Goalie Cory Schneider made three saves in a shootout, and forward Jacob Josefson scored the winning shootout goal, capping off a 5-4 win for the Devils over Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday at the Prudential Center.

The game went to overtime after the Devils erased a 3-0 deficit in the second period before tying the game for a second time in the third period.

Maple Leafs rookie Auston Matthews, the top overall pick in the 2016 NHL Draft, broke out of a 13-game goal drought in a big way to power a red-hot start for Toronto.
