Nearly 13 months after his chronic myeloid leukemia diagnosis, Devils forward Brian Boyle said his cancer is in remission.
The 33-year-old veteran told NHL.com his latest tests show the disease is currently clear from his blood work, with no leukemia cells present.
At the start of this season's training camp in September, Boyle said he felt miles better physically compared to the year prior, when he was originally diagnosed.
He was first diagnosed with the disease following his medical exam at the start of training camp in September of 2017, and he was held out of the Devils' lineup while he started his treatment, which involved oral medication.
