Devils signed defenseman Tim Erixon to a professional tryout on Thursday, and he will join the team at training camp in one week.
Erixon will wear No. 20 with the Devils.
Erixon was the 23rd overall pick in the 2009 NHL Draft, taken by the Calgary Flames. He made his NHL debut with the Rangers in 2011-12. He has played for four NHL teams over the course of his career, and he most recently played in the NHL in 2014-15 when he played a combined 42 games with the Columbus Blue Jackets, Chicago Blackhawks and Toronto Maple Leafs.
