Devils' Adam Henrique needed postseason surgery

NEWARK — Forward Adam Henrique, who played with pain in his wrist late in the season, underwent surgery to correct torn ligaments, Devils general manager Lou Lamoriello told NJ Advance Media.

Henrique had an MRI which showed the problem that Lamoriello said required "minor surgery." Henrique is in a cast and recovery will take 4-6 weeks before he begins rehab.

The veteran forward led the Devils in scoring this season with 43 points (16 goals, 27 assists) in 75 games. He had 34 penalty minutes and was minus-6. Henrique scored three game-winning goals.
