NEW YORK -- After allowing an early goal, the Devils kept the NHL's second best offense in check to halt their six-game losing streak.
The Devils scored four unanswered goals, including two by defenseman Damon Severson, to earn a 4-1 win over the New York Islanders on Tuesday at the Barclays Center.
Tuesday's win marked the first win ever for the Devils at the Barclays Center. They were 0-4-1 in dating back to the start of the 2015-16 season.
Severson scored back-to-back goals in a 1:26 stretch in the second period to give the Devils a 3-1 lead.
