BUFFALO, N.Y. — It was a highlight reel kind of goal, but at that moment Devils winger Jiri Tlusty would've taken anything.
The 27-year-old veteran hadn't scored a goal since opening night on Oct.9 before he ripped a turnaround slap shot past Buffalo Sabres goalie Linus Ullmark in the third period of Tuesday night's 2-0 win at First Niagara Center.
"I didn't see where it came from. I just saw it bouncing around in the slot," Tlusty said. "I just turned around and shot it. I wasn't thinking about anything else.
