Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand will have a hearing on Wednesday with NHL Player Safety for elbowing Devils forward Marcus Johansson on Tuesday.
Marchand's elbow hit Johansson in the head toward the end of a play in front of the Devils' net. Marchand swung his elbow up and to his right, striking Johansson and sending him to the ice.
Johansson left the game and didn't return in the final two minutes of the Devils' 3-2 loss to the Bruins.
No penalty was called on the play.
