BUFFALO – Joe Blandisi scored a pair of goals and John Quenneville added two assists for the Devils, who wrapped up their Prospects Challenge with a 4-3 overtime loss to the Boston Bruins at HarborCenter on Sunday.
Quenneville recorded helpers on both of Blandisi’s goals, including the go-ahead marker that made it 3-2 Devils in the third period. Boston’s Jakub Zboril responded to force OT before Frank Vatrano ended it 13 seconds into the extra session with his second of the night.
Ken Appleby made 36 saves, including 19 of 20 in the third period, to help the Devils rebound from Saturday’s loss to the Buffalo Sabres.
