The 2015 NHL Draft is fast approaching and teams are continuing to prepare for their selections. For the New Jersey Devils, June 26 will hopefully be a big day for the organization as a number 6 selection in this stacked draft class could leave a lasting impact. Ideally, the Devils would draft Mitch Marner or Dylan Strome, but that doesn’t seem to be a plausible option.
With those two off the board, the other two likely candidates would be Mathew Barzal or Pavel Zacha.
However, let’s play Devil’s Advocate (no pun intended).
What if, by some minor miracle, Noah Hanifin drops down to 6th.
