Xavier Kouassi to miss 4-6 weeks with a quad injury

On Wednesday, Revolution midfielder Xavier Kouassi scored his first MLS goal, an 86th-minute equalizer that helped the Revs earn a road point against NYCFC. In that same game, Kouassi suffered a non-contact leg injury. He went on to finish the match, but labored his way through the final five minutes.

Unfortunately, Kouassi won’t finish another match for at least a month. According to Jeff Lemieux, the Revolution DP will miss 4-6 weeks after doctors diagnosed him with a quad injury. Kouassi missed all of 2016 after tearing his ACL, but showed no ill effects from the injury in the early stages of 2017.
