Tommy McNamara: “I can play in different spots and I’ll do whatever the team needs”

When New England Revolution fans saw the starting XI there were some interesting changes that stood out. One of the biggest being that Tommy McNamara was playing on the right wing.

Ever since joining the Revs, fans have seen McNamara operate in the center of the field. With players such as Teal Bunbury and Ema Boateng left on the bench it was interesting to see McNamara get the start on the wing.

It’s safe to say that the decision from Bruce Arena paid off. The midfielder ended up scoring the game-winning goal for New England, ensuring that the Revs stayed on top of the Eastern Conference.
