FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Diego Fagundez’s game-winning goal garnered most of the attention in the aftermath of the New England Revolution’s 1-0 win over the New York Red Bulls last Friday night, but there was a play at the other end of the field that was just as crucial in securing the points.
With the Revs clinging to a 1-0 advantage in the 81st minute and New York pressing for an equalizer, goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth was called upon to make a point-blank save on Bradley Wright-Phillips, who’d found the ball at his feet just five yards from goal.
