It's been a bit of a roller coaster for the Rhinos in recent weeks. After 8 draws in 13 games, the Rhinos got a gutsy win over Charleston Battery on the road before squandering a lead at home against a weakened New York Red Bulls II last weekend. Heading into Saturday night's game at Charlotte Independence, the Rhinos knew they had to win their remaining two games to have a shot at hosting a playoff game this season.
The team battled for 90 minutes to that end and walked out of Ramblewood Soccer Complex with three points and a shutout.
