NEW YORK – There was palpable frustration in the New England Revolution locker room following their 2-1 loss to New York City FC on Saturday afternoon, as the Revs put in a diligent shift while playing with 10 men for more than 80 minutes.
“There was a chance for this to be a real good game today,” said sporting director and head coach Bruce Arena. “It had the makings of a real good game. It’s a shame we didn’t get a chance to do that.
“I’m just sorry for the fans that came out today, and for the players that we weren’t afforded the opportunity to have a good game.
