Revolution’s former Head of Fitness is now coaching at Bradford City

Anton McElhone has left the New England Revolution after one year as the team’s Head of Fitness and Conditioning. He will now serve as an assistant coach for Bradford City (League One).

McElhone came to MLS after being with Tottenham for a decade. He earned high praise from newly-appointed head coach Brad Friedel, who leaned on him to be a fitness expert. In early June, Friedel told MLSSoccer.com, that McElhone “knows what the physical requirements [are] that are needed to play in the system that we want to play.”

McElhone received similar compliments from Bradford’s head coach David Hopkin.
