Revolution Waive Sean Okoli

The seldom used former Sounders homegrown could is looking for his third MLS team in as many years.

The New England Revolution announced that forward Sean Okoli has been waived by the team.

Okoli was acquired during the 2015 MLS SuperDraft in a trade with the Sounders for the Revs' second round pick. He appeared in five regular season matches for New England last season, logging 46 minutes. He also started and played 64 minutes in the club's U.S. Open Cup Fourth Round 1-0 loss versus the Charlotte Independence on June 17.

Okoli was stuck behind strikers Charlie Davies and Juan Agudelo at the top of the Revs' 4-2-3-1 formation.
