A healthy New England Revolution will head to the Pacific Northwest to face the Portland Timbers this Sunday.
For the second straight week, the Revs have submitted an injury report without a single name. This will give head coach Jay Heaps plenty of options when he’s writing his starting lineup, especially if Xavier Kouassi is ready to return.
Kouassi was held out of last week’s game as a precaution. The Designated Player was available to play 30-60 minutes but the coaching staff didn’t think it was necessary to bring him off the bench.
Earlier this week, Heaps addressed the situation saying, “It’s very important that we have [Kouassi] for selection, that we have the ability to use him.
